Video Trimmer — Cut Video to the Good Part
Cut a video down to the exact start and end you want — preview it in the page, set the times, and export just the good part, no upload needed.
Open toolBackground chatter, wind noise, a copyrighted song you didn't notice, or a clip that simply works better silent — there are plenty of reasons to strip the sound out of a video. This tool removes the audio track entirely while copying the video stream exactly as it is: no re-encoding, no quality loss, and it finishes almost instantly because the pictures are never re-processed. The output keeps your original format (MP4 stays MP4, WebM stays WebM). It all happens in your browser, so the file is never uploaded — handy for footage you would rather keep to yourself.
The muted file keeps the same format and the exact same picture — only the sound is removed.
Choose a file to begin — nothing is uploaded, everything happens on your device.
A product demo recorded with cafe chatter behind it exports as a silent video — the picture stream copied frame-for-frame, the audio stream removed entirely.
No — zero. The video stream is copied bit-for-bit (stream copy), only the audio stream is dropped. That is also why this tool is nearly instant compared with tools that re-encode: there is nothing to re-render.
Keep your original file — the muted copy has no audio track at all, and removed sound cannot be recovered from it. The tool never touches your original; it always produces a new '-muted' file.
Autoplaying website and social videos are usually muted by the platform anyway, and an audio track only adds file size and risk: background music can trigger copyright claims, and recorded conversations can leak into clips you share. A silent file is smaller, safer and loop-friendly.
If the original audio was quiet in file terms (a voice track is small next to HD video), the size drop is small too. Check by playing it: the muted file has no audio track at all — players show no volume control for it.
