Video to GIF Converter — Animated GIF Maker
Turn a short video clip into an animated GIF with control over start point, length, width and frame rate — made locally, ready for chats and posts.
Open toolMost recordings have ten dead seconds at the start and a fumble at the end. This trimmer cuts a video down to the part that matters: load it, watch the preview, note where the good part starts and ends, and export exactly that slice. Times can be typed as plain seconds (95) or minutes and seconds (1:35). The cut re-encodes at high quality, so the trimmed file starts and ends on the exact frames you chose — no keyframe sloppiness where the video begins a second early. And like every tool here, it runs entirely in your browser: the footage is never uploaded.
Choose a file to begin — nothing is uploaded, everything happens on your device.
A 3-second clip trimmed from 1s to 2s exported as an exact 1.0-second file in our test — frame-accurate cutting, not a rough chop.
Frame-accurate. The tool decodes from your start point and re-encodes, so the first frame of the output is the frame at your start time — unlike fast keyframe cutting, which can begin up to several seconds early.
Plain seconds (95), minutes:seconds (1:35), or hours:minutes:seconds (1:02:30) all work. The two buttons under the preview are easier still: play the video, pause at the right moment, and set the start or end from the playhead.
This tool keeps one continuous slice (start to end). To remove a middle section, trim twice — keep the part before it and the part after it — and that is usually all a quick edit needs.
In proportion to what you cut away, yes — half the length is roughly half the data at the same quality. If the file is still too big afterwards, run it through the Video Compressor.
