UTM Builder

UTM parameters are small tags added to the end of a link that tell Google Analytics exactly where each visitor came from — which ad, which post, which email. Without them, most of your marketing shows up as an unhelpful blur of "social" or "direct". This free UTM builder — a campaign URL builder for Google Analytics — creates clean, correctly encoded campaign URLs in seconds. It is built for marketers, freelancers and business owners who run ads, post on social media or send newsletters and want to know what actually works.

UTM builder FAQs

Which UTM parameters are required?

Source, medium and campaign are the standard three you should always include. Term is mainly for paid search keywords, and content is useful when you run two versions of an ad or email pointing to the same page.

Should I use spaces in UTM parameter values?

No — use underscores or hyphens instead (this builder encodes everything safely for you, but clean values like "fall_sale" are easier to read in reports). Also keep a consistent naming system: "facebook" and "Facebook" are counted separately by analytics tools, so pick one style and stick to it.

Where do I see the results of UTM links?

In Google Analytics 4, open Reports → Acquisition → Traffic acquisition and add "Session campaign", "Session source" or "Session medium" as a breakdown. Your tagged visits will appear with the exact names you used in this builder.
