Frequently asked questions
Can I view stories from a private account?
No. Private-account stories are only visible to approved followers inside Instagram, and no outside tool can (or should) fetch them. This viewer works with public accounts only.
Will the account owner see my name in their viewer list?
This tool reads the public story data without your Instagram account, so there is no account of yours attached to the view. We still recommend using it for legitimate archiving, not for monitoring people.
Why did a story link stop working?
Stories expire after 24 hours unless the owner saves them as a highlight. An expired story link has nothing left to read; highlight links keep working while the highlight exists.
Can I download story photos as well as videos?
Yes — when a story contains a photo, the full-size image is offered; videos appear with quality options like the other downloaders.
