SERP Preview Tool — Google Result Preview & Length Check
Preview exactly how a page will look in Google search results — desktop and mobile — with character counts and true pixel widths while you write.
Open toolA favicon is the small icon in the browser tab, bookmark list and phone home screen that makes your site recognisable at a glance — and a missing one looks unfinished. This free favicon generator builds the complete set for you: type one or two letters, pick an emoji, or upload your logo, choose colours, and it produces a real favicon.ico plus PNG icons at 16, 32, 48, 180, 192 and 512 pixels, together with the exact HTML link tags to paste into your site. Everything is drawn in your browser, so your logo is never uploaded. It is the fastest way to finish a new website properly — most sites need it exactly once, and this takes about a minute.
A blue rounded square with a white F becomes favicon.ico (16/32/48 px) plus 180, 192 and 512 px PNGs — a new site finished properly in a minute.
A practical modern set is: favicon.ico containing 16, 32 and 48 px (browsers and Windows shortcuts), a 180×180 PNG for Apple touch icons, and 192×192 plus 512×512 PNGs for Android and web app manifests. Search engines like Google also read the favicon for the icon shown next to your result, and they prefer a multiple of 48 px — the 48 and 192 files in this set cover that. This generator makes all of them in one click.
At 16 pixels, detail disappears: a bold single letter on a strong colour is the most recognisable for most sites, which is why so many brands use their initial. An emoji-based favicon is a fun, instant option for personal sites and projects. A full logo only works if it has a simple symbol version — wordmarks shrink to mush. Whatever you choose, check it at the small preview size, not the large one.
Download favicon.ico and the PNGs, upload them to your site's root folder (or wherever your platform keeps site files), and paste the generated link tags into the <head> of your pages. On WordPress, the Customizer's Site Icon covers the PNG sizes and most themes pick up favicon.ico automatically; on static sites and site builders, the link tags are the reliable route. Browsers cache favicons aggressively — give it a hard refresh or a day before judging the result.
Google crawls favicons on its own schedule, separately from page content, and requires the icon to be crawlable, in a supported format, and a multiple of 48 px for result display. If the tab icon is right but search still shows the old globe, the usual causes are that Google has not recrawled it yet, or the only icon present is a 16×16. The set from this generator includes the sizes Google asks for; after that it is a waiting game of days, not minutes.
