AI Text Detector

This detector reads your text the way analysts do — sentence-length variety, repetition, stock phrasing, structure — and returns an AI-likelihood score with the signals behind the verdict, so you can judge for yourself instead of trusting a bare number. Read the label on the tin: AI detection is an estimate, never proof. Short texts, edited texts and non-native writing fool every detector on the market, including this one. Use it to spot drafts that need a human pass before publishing — not to accuse anyone of anything.

This tool is powered by AI running on a free service tier, so a generation can occasionally take a little longer or ask you to retry at busy times. Your input is sent only to produce your result — it is not stored.

How to use this tool

  1. Paste the text to check (a few hundred words works best).
  2. Click Analyse text.
  3. Read the likelihood score, verdict and the writing signals listed.
  4. Treat the result as a hint, not a judgment — short or heavily edited texts are hard for any detector.

Worked example

A product description full of repeated sentence shapes and generic phrases scores “Likely AI”, with signals like low sentence-length variety and stock wording. A personal story with irregular rhythm and specific details scores “Likely human”.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is this detector?

As accurate as the method allows — which is 'useful hint, not evidence'. Detectors work best on long, unedited texts and worst on short, edited or translated ones. The signals list matters more than the score: it shows you what a reader might find generic.

Can it falsely accuse a human writer?

Yes — formal, formulaic human writing (legal, technical, exam essays) often scores 'likely AI', and non-native writers are flagged unfairly by many detectors. Never use any detector's output as sole proof about a person.

What text length works best?

A few hundred words or more. Under about 100 words there simply is not enough rhythm or repetition data to read, and the tool will tell you if your paste is too short to judge fairly.

How is this different from plagiarism checking?

Completely different question. Plagiarism checkers match text against existing sources; detectors estimate how a text was produced. A text can be original and AI-written, or copied word-for-word by hand — this tool only addresses the second question.

My own writing scored high. What do I fix?

Work the signals list: vary sentence lengths, replace stock phrases with specific details, add one concrete example or number from real experience. Those edits help with human readers too — which is the actual point.
